Our EcoHabitat range is designed to provide safe spaces for bats and swifts, enabling them to live in harmony with people.

With an increasing number of customers now applying Biodiversity Net Gain Principles (BNG) to new developments – the guarantee that a site will have a positive ecological impact upon completion – Ibstock is investing in our built-in EcoHabitat range to support these gains through the lifetime of the homes built.

Expanding our cast stone product range to help tack nature loss and promote biodiversity is a key part of Ibstock’s sustainability strategy.

Ibstock EcoHabitats are designed to work with our wider range of construction products, no special skills are required for install beyond normal professional practice, making them easy to include in a standard construction.

Cast Stone Bat Box

Click Cast Stone bat boxes are discreet, easy to install and create a match to the aesthetics of any Ibstock wall. Manufactured by Forticrete, our cast stone bat boxes provide secure habitats for Pipistrelle bats through replicating the type of environment they seek. They feature a cast stone front face combined with an internal roughened high-grade plywood.

Cast Stone Swift Box

Our cast stone swift boxes are carefully designed for both new build houses and retrofit applications to provide habitats for birds. The swift boxes are mortared into the external leaf of a cavity wall to create a secure and weather resistant place, accessible to swifts. Similar to the bat boxes, the swift boxes are discreet and east to install.
